What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
When I was growing up I watched my brother play football and watching him at each level, and eventually to train for the NFL process, made me want to do the same. He was a great role model for me and that’s how I started my love for football.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moments from my football life would be the 2019 football season when we finished 10-5 at Hawaii and beat BYU in the Hawaii Bowl. Some other great moments I’ve had were hanging out with teammates in the offseason, traveling to different places during season for games, and elevating our team chemistry.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I am looking to be the best version of myself and improve in my weaknesses. I want to chase greatness and maximize my game in any way possible. I also want to build my knowledge in the game of football.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
If I can hang out with any football player it would be Brian Dawkins because I love how he played the game of football and the passion he played with. I feel like I could learn a lot about life itself from him as well.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mom is who inspires me the most. She battled brain cancer and seeing her fight everyday till the end motivated me to keep fighting till the end and give the best in everything I do.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
The 4-2-5 because it’s a very versatile defense and allows you to have a lot more playmakers on the field. As a safety I feel like I can make a lot of plays in this scheme.
What should we know about Khoury Bethley the person?
I’m a hardworking person who has a chip on their shoulder and in any opportunity, I receive I will make the most of it.
What stands out about your film the most?
I would say my physicality and my versatility.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I am a man of faith so I believe that prayer is powerful. I also think that in any challenge that I face, I face it head on and do my part and work hard until it is resolved.
What would a team get in a player like you?
I think that teams would get in a player like me someone who is a hardworking, genuine guy who loves the game of football and loves to compete. Also who is eager to learn and learn about the game and do whatever its going to take to be the best I believe I can be.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
The thing I love most about football is the process. From offseason workouts till the end of the season, and everything in the middle. From putting the work in and season how the season unfolds … its crazy to see but I love it.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Our running back Xazavian Valladay because he doesn’t get the credit he deserved and he’s one hell of a football player.
