What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Just being young and playing football at recess. I was really good at it and knew I wanted to pursue this dream right then and there.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
The State Championships at Katy High School were great feelings, it built me to chase championships. The Myrtle Beach Bowl game during my time at Tulsa university was another favorite moment. Finally, my Hail Mary catch against Tulane with six seconds left was my favorite moment in football so far. It was very surreal, I was thankful.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I want to show and prove that I can be a great receiver in the NFL. Gods plan for me is already written I just need to continue to work and improve like I been.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Randy Moss. He was my inspiration growing up and would love to get some knowledge from him.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
Growing up my cousin JoVanni Stewart inspired me the most. He was a great athlete at every sport and it motivated me a lot to be bigger and better.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
I love the Air Raid offense. Something about the tempo and giving a defense issues is what I live for. I know I got more stamina than my opponent so I want it to be shown.
What should we know about JuanCarlos Santana the person?
I’m all love. I’m helpful and caring, I put a lot of my thoughts into chasing my dreams, I’m hardworking and hungry, and I just want the best for my family and myself.
What stands out about your film the most?
My speed. I’m a great vertical threat, stretching the field out in just one play.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I will remain quiet and thoughtful as I’m trying to figure out which is the best way to handle my challenges.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A respectful, motivated, young man wanting to help a franchise win a Super Bowl.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
Touchdowns. Getting in the end zone is probably the best feeling in the world.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Trevis Gipson. He was slept on coming out of Tulsa and is now really making a name for himself in NFL. It’s great to see a friend reach their dreams and dominate them.
