What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2023 NFL Draft?
I feel as though no matter who I line up against no one is going to beat me. It was the same way when I was a receiver and that mentality has only grown when I switched to corner. I have a great understanding of offense and what offenses want to do because of my background playing wideout. And my athleticism allows me to make plays on the ball.
At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?
I loved the eagles the day I came out the womb. Go birds that’s all I gotta say.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
I’ve always been counted out and I’ve always managed to exceed expectations. I pride myself on that.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
I hate cancer man, my mom had a bout of breast cancer, and Ik what she went through and what millions of others are going through. If I had the money to donate to research and more awareness for screenings I definitely would.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Trust in God
Who was your childhood hero?
Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?
Cole Kitchen – Saftey What is your biggest pet peeve? Sitting in traffic. I seriously would rather do anything else.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
This past season I made the switch to corner. I went from being a D2 receiver to a D3 receiver and I thought I was gonna come in and light it up I quickly realized DelVal had some dawgs already at receiver. I worked my way into the rotation but I knew I wanted to be more than a rotational piece so I made the switch. At first, like the first two weeks, I honestly sucked I was getting cooked at practice by my friends, I’m sure they didn’t think I was gonna end up being a good corner. But that’s part of what fueled me, it unlocked another fire that I hadn’t had in a couple of seasons because I knew I had to get to work if I wanted this season to go the way I envisioned. All it comes down to is how hard are you willing to work for what you want.
Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?
Delaware Valley is one of a kind, you kinda have to go here to understand. It’s not the biggest, the newest, or the nicest, but what makes DelVal special is the family aspect that they bring to everything. It’s a small campus so everyone knows us football players and they take care of us and want to see us succeed here not just in football but in life.
What is your favorite snack food?
1a: Ice Cream 1b: Oreos
What is the best part of football?
Just being able to let loose and be me around my guys for a few hours every day. Best stress relief out there. Plus the fact that I hate losing at anything so I love the competitive spirit that comes with being a football player.
If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?
I do my job, I bring relentless effort and I love to play this game.
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Conner McGregor, Brian Dawkins, and Allen Iverson. I challenged myself at an early age to try and find out what made them great. I love to be able to pick their brain as far as what they deemed important and what it took to because of a professional athlete. They are all so different but they have passion for the sport they play and that’s truthfully what gets you through the tough days, passion and faith.
